Drowning the Light - 2007/08 Tape bundle #4

This tape bundle includes these 4x Drowning the Light cassette tapes:
*“Path of Old”
*“Long Forgotten in the Shadows”
*“The Weeping Moon”
*“Blood for the Countess”

This is the fourth lot of Drowning the Light tapes.

“Path of Old” - This tape contains material recorded in 2007 with M.N (Carved Cross, Forbidden Citadel of Spirits etc.) on drums, that was originally to be on a cursed split tape -where the original band vanished just as the split was ready, so that was never released, then vocals were rerecorded and it was later used as material on the split vinyl with Empire of Tharaphita and then as the bonus material with the split with FCoS etc.
However for this cassette version I wanted to include both versions of the track “Path of Old”, the version most have heard with the rerecorded vocals, and the original version that has never been released where the vocals are more akin to those on “Through the Noose of Existence”, tortured and extreme. Raw and melancholic Black Metal!

“Long Forgotten in the Shadows” - Recorded in 2007, this is the material from the split with Forbidden Citadel of Spirits, with MN on drums, and standing alone for this ongoing DTL tape collection.
Raw, melancholic and synth filled Black Metal!

“The Weeping Moon” - Lycanthropic and Vampyric Black Metal EP from 2007/2008 containing two long and hypnotizing tracks!
I wanted this version of the tape to contain the original art from the EP in full colour.

“Blood for the Countess” - This demo was originally released on tape limited to 20 copies as part of a special edition of “The Weeping Moon” that came out in 2008, it contains the short demo versions of the songs that became “The Weeping Moon” as well as a few others from those sessions and the track “Blood for the Countess” from the split with Evil. This version will also have a bonus track from the original “Weeping Moon” demo sessions.
