This is the seventh lot of Drowning the Light tapes.
Each tape is extremely limited.
"I am the Dagger... I am the Sacrifice" - When traversing the darkness, one must be willing to be both the dagger and the sacrifice... To cut that thread of ones own fate, thus both creating a new one and sacrificing what could of been and having the Will to embrace that shadow that envelops the soul. Having the Will to surpass this mortal coil and accepting that sacrifice of ones self.
This demo is split into two tracks, "I am the Dagger" is a majestic and melancholic raw Black Metal blade that pierces the night and cuts through the veil of life.
"I am the Sacrifice" is a distorted obscure worship style synth piece of midnight music that is a hypnotic mantra accepting ones own destiny... A sacrifice that although is embraced is still filled with torment, pain and melancholy. A sacrifice to transcend beyond this flesh prison.
"Paradise Slaves" - this EP delves into the weakness of mankind being slaves to their delusions of paradise, enslaved by feeble dogmas of corrosive and crumbling belief systems, as well as exploring the darker mindset that some serial killers have expressed, that those they kill will become their slaves in the afterlife.

"Enslaved by the Cave" - This EP is the spiritual successor to the "Paradise Slaves" EP, however instead of focusing on the herds delusions of "Paradise" this EP focuses on their blind grasp of "reality" using Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" as a point of reason but with a Setapophian twist on said allegory.
We live in a time of spiritual decay as civilization further erodes and humanity enslaves itself within that cave. When presented with the Black Flame burning bright, the weak close their eyes and grasp onto their mortal coil in fear because their whole reality is just an illusion and they are but slaves to it.
The sonic aspects of this EP are much like the burning light outside of the cave. For many it will sound like a wall of raw noise, putting the herd off and making them retreat to comfort (returning to the shackles of the cave). But for those who allow their ears to adjust, the harshness soon becomes something else - melody, truth and spirit hidden within!

"Viscera of the Gods" - "Viscera of the Gods" is an EP of majestic, melancholic, raw and synth filled hypnotic Black Metal from this cult of Oceania.
The Gods, those laws of nature that cannot be broken, yet through abyssic creation and this Setapophian Black Magick we can bend those very laws and tear through the veil.
Yet to spit in the face of those Gods comes with a price, and when their blood spills, and a great cataclysm falls upon us, we realize that price is our flesh.
And as the world now opens up, as the stars fall down to us, as the earth returns to dust, as the golden age turns to rust, we taste the viscera of the Gods... to become a God.
